Press release
znt-Richter Group acquires CircuitByte and strengthens its presence in the electronics industry
11/14/2023 The znt-Richter Group, a long-standing digitalization partner for a
wide range of market-leading companies worldwide, announces the acquisition
of CircuitByte GmbH, based in Darmstadt, Germany, as of November 13, 2023.
The combined solution and customer portfolio of the two successful Siemens
Digital Industries Software Expert Partners strengthens ZNT’s market position
in the high-tech electronics and semiconductor industries. Electronics
manufacturers in particular benefit from a comprehensive, integrated solution
for end-to-end digitalization reaching from procurement to production.
The znt-Richter Group and CircuitByte have been established providers of
manufacturing software in the electronics industry for many years, and their solutions
complement each other seamlessly. As Siemens Digital Industries Software Expert
Partners, both companies have successfully implemented several large customer
projects, working hand-in-hand to provide solutions ranging from procurement,
production preparation and detailed planning to production and logistics.
In addition to their expertise with the Siemens solution portfolio, both companies also
have powerful in-house developed software solutions. The znt-Richter Group's
Process Automation Controller (PAC) is one of the most powerful integration platforms
for equipment integration and automation. CircuitByte's BOM Connector Enterprise
provides electronic companies with vital component pricing and production cost
calculations. Both products are also sold by Siemens as OEMs.
"With this acquisition, we are unleashing considerable synergy potential, particularly
with regard to our international markets and customers," explains Bernhard Marsoner,
CEO of the znt-Richter Group. "In addition to strengthening our market position in
Europe, we will be able to better and more comprehensively serve the needs and
demand of the markets in Southeast Asia and Greater China. The acquisition thus
supports our long-term strategy of expanding our global market presence."
"We have been working successfully with ZNT for years. We therefore know the
company very well and particularly appreciate its high level of professionalism. The
step we have now taken is therefore a logical best-match for us and our customers.
BOM Connector will benefit significantly from the expanded sales, service and
development teams as well as ZNT's market position in Europe and Asia," emphasize
the current managing partners of CircuitByte Kevin Decker-Weiss, Philipp Ruhemann
and Marius Schäfer. "We are very excited about the future opportunities to further
develop the BOM Connector Enterprise and expand our already large customer base."
Within the znt-Richter Group, the CircuitByte management team will seamlessly
continue central tasks for the electronics industry and will be supported by the
experienced employees who were taken on as part of the acquisition. The centrally
located Darmstadt office gives znt-Richter Group an even stronger presence in
Germany.
"This is a significant step for the znt-Richter Group, as we are growing inorganically for
the first time," underlines Sandra Richter, Managing Partner of the znt-Richter Group.
"We and CircuitByte share core values such as employee orientation, continuity and a
long-term approach. We are convinced that this strategic move, and in particular the
highly complementary teams and the joint portfolios, will further strengthen the znt-
Richter Group."
In the field of manufacturing, the znt-Richter Group concentrates on Manufacturing
Operations Management (MOM) solutions with a focus on Manufacturing Execution
Systems (MES), Recipe Management Systems (RMS) and Advanced Planning and
Scheduling (APS) as well as on equipment integration and automation with its own
integration platform PAC. With this solutions portfolio and experienced project teams
at eight locations in Europe and Asia to date, the company has been successfully
supporting renowned customers worldwide in the digitalization, optimization and
automation of manufacturing processes for over 35 years.
As an expert in Supply Chain 4.0 solutions, CircuitByte has been successfully
supporting customers in the electronics industry in optimizing manufacturing processes
for 30 years. The portfolio includes the BOM Connector Enterprise, a component and
production quotation tool for the electronics industry, as well as products from Siemens
Digital Industries Software that enable a complete digital flow from product design to
process development and production.
"This makes us one of the most comprehensive reseller, service and technology
partners in the Siemens Digital Industries Software ecosystem for the electronics
industry in EMEA," adds Jochen Stephan, CSO of the znt-Richter Group. "With our
portfolio ranging from procurement, production preparation and detailed planning to
production execution and logistics with full traceability and the expertise of our wellestablished
teams, we offer electronics manufacturers a completely new level of
consulting and implementation quality for their end-to-end digitalization."
